A Crop for Eternal Life
Pastor Alex Barnes completes his series on discipleship with a reminder that the work we do now comes after the work of many before us. In John 4, it speaks about the harvest is “ripe”. Due to the hard work of the many Christians before us, we are able to speak to others about Christ. He reminded us that our own lives are bettered by the inventions of previous ages – running water, vacuum sweepers, air conditioners – to name a few. Where did that ability to create come from? In Exodus 31 the spirit of God was endued to Bezalel son of Uri so he could be a craftsman. He was able to craft the things needed for the tabernacle along with others that God appointed to help him. That spirit of craftmanship still lives on.
